Last week we went to New Orleans, for the French Quarter Festival. We were able to escape the rainy cold weather of Philadelphia and enjoy the 70 and 80 degree days among the mighty Mississippi listening to music.

While we were away, HoneyBelle got to hangout with all of her friends and dog walkers.

While we were in NOLA, we were able to listen to our favorite band - The Brass-A-Holics!

If you are ever in new Orleans and wants to listen to them, you can always catch them at the Jazz Playhouse.

When we came back to Philadelphia, we were able to see some great plays.

Granny Jackson is Dead by Tiny Dynamite and Inis Nua Theatre Company and the wildly inventive UK-based Big Telly Theatre Company. Broadway World has a great writeup about the show. It is a fun and interactive show at an Irish Wake. Their last show is 4/20, but you can always go to NYC and catch the show as well. Go here to get tickets.

Rift, OR White Lies: by Interact Theater Company. This show explores the relationship between two brothers: one who is incarcerated and the other who is on the outside. The story is very compelling and unfortantly very relatable. The acting is terrific as well as the lighting.

We are also looking forward to seeing Simpatico Theatre Project's production of January 6: A Celebration. A Bodega Princess Remembers Tradition, Not Insurrection  which is an interactive one-woman show that invites the audience to celebrate and reclaim the date, January 6th.

When you read this, it will be the day before Easter or the day of or day(s) afterwards. No matter what, remember that some bunny loves you!

P.S. May 20th in Philadelphia is Primary Day. Plan how you vote by going here using the Committee of 70 Interactive Voter Guide.
